We recommend using the Hip Carrying Position
from 3 months and older.
ONLY USE this position when child has
developed strong and consistent head
and neck control.
1. Put the U.GO wrap on by following the
Basic Wrapping Steps on pages 6-7.
2. Lift your baby onto your chest facing
you. Insert his/her right leg through
the Left Cross Band and his/her left
leg through the Right Cross Band.
3. Make sure he/she comes to rest sitting
where the two Cross Bands intersect.
4. Starting with the inner Cross Band, the one
that has immediate contact with child,
spread out the fabric so it cover’s the
child’s bottom and supports both thighs.
5. Shift the baby to your right hip, letting the
Cross Bands follow.
6. Make sure baby remains sitting where the
two Cross Bands intersect.
7. Spread out the outer Cross Band between
the knees so it supports the child’s bottom
and both thighs.
8. Pull up and spread the Belly Band
to cover his/her entire back.
In this position, the baby’s arms can be
placed either inside or outside of the Belly
Band.
ALWAYS ENSURE sufcient room for child
to breathe, and that child is breathing
normally at all times.
