We recommend using the Back Carrying
Position from 3 months and older.
ONLY USE this position when child has
developed strong and consistent head
and neck control.
Child MUST ALWAYS FACE YOU when
using this position.
ONLY USE this position when you have
the assistance of an adult.
1. Follow steps 1–4 on page 6, using your
lower back as the starting point instead
of your abdomen. Then bring the ends to
around to the front and tie in a knot.
2. Your helper holds the child FACING YOU,
and leads the remaining steps: Insert the
right leg of baby through the Right Cross
Band.
3. Insert the left leg through
the Left Cross Band.
4. Spread out the inner Cross Band, the one
that has immediate contact with the baby,
to make sure it covers baby’s bottom, and
supports both thighs.
5. Pull up and spead the Belly Band to cover
his/her entire back, and if necessary, the
back of the head.
ALWAYS ENSURE sufcient room for child
to breathe, and that child is breathing
normally at all times.
